Q: Do you offer custom pieces and how much are they?
A: Yes! Here is a link to order custom pieces on my shop! If you have any more questions, let me know!
Q:How long does it take to make a custom piece?
A: It takes about 2-4 weeks, depending on how many custom orders are before yours. It typically takes me a few days to plan and a week to paint a smaller piece!
Q: Do I pay for the custom piece before you make it?
A: Yes, as soon as I receive the full payment, and confirm the image, I will begin painting! You should expect your piece to be shipped within 2-4 weeks.
Q: How do I send a photo?
A: You can use Messenger on Facebook or you can e-mail me a photo: email@example.com
Remember, the higher quality the photo, the more detail I can put in your piece!
Q: Do you teach Art Workshops?
A: Yes! I host Workshops and parties online and in person! For more information, Click Here!
Q: Do you have an age limit on your workshops?
A: There is a class for Every age! However, mosaic workshops have safety restrictions-
- Mosaics Tiles and Beads Workshop for ages 5+
- Glass mosaics for 12+
- Younger ages are welcome to attend a Mommy and Me Painting Class or a Group Painting Workshop!
Q: Do you offer Ceramic Classes?
A: Do to COVID-19 Restrictions, we are not currently offering ceramics at this time.
Q: How do you price your work?
A: I calculate the cost of materials, time, overhead, and business operations costs. More intricate or difficult pieces take more time (portraits of pets and people) and more free-flowing pieces take less time! I also offer Prints, if you want a more affordable option! This is the general formula I follow for 2020 pricing:
Q: Why are your Live Sale prices different than your shop prices?
A: The live sales are SALES! The Sale prices are good for the Live Sale ONLY, then the item will be available at regular price on my shop page!
Q: Do you offer Prints?
A: Yes! I am currently in the process of adding this feature to my shop! In the meantime, please contact me for Limited Edition Note cards and Prints.
Q: What is your process?
A: I LOVE nature and wildlife. Whenever I see an image or an animal that calls to me, I take a photo or sketch them quickly. I then compose a color pallet to capture their essence, rather than simply their natural coloring. Once I have prepped, I expressively add paint to the canvas to capture their movement, their spirit and their soul. I often use acrylics, but also work in watercolor, gauche, encaustic, oil, pen and ink, woodburning, mosaic, plaster of Paris, and ceramic!
Q: What does Archival Mean?
A: All of my pieces that are on archival paper/canvas will not fade or yellow with time. Archival means that it is acid free. Acid erodes overtime causing a yellow hue or fading. You will not find this in my artwork!
Q: I am a Gallery or Cafe, Can You Display Your Work in My Space?
A: Absolutely! Please e-mail me! firstname.lastname@example.org
Q: What Advice Would You give a Young Artist?
A: Practice, Practice, Practice! Also, it is never too late to learn or start trying! Most artists didn't start their famous bodies of work until later in life! You have plenty of time, enjoy exploring each step of your creative journey! BUY A JOURNAL. Now. I try to sketch everyday and I did even more when I was younger. It is fantastic to see how far I have come. I have also sold my art journals! You never know what might inspire others! Keep on making. If you feel sad, or angry, or tired... keep on making. Use that energy to inspire your work that day.
Q: My Child is really Gifted, What do I do to help them?
A: Feel free to message me, I would love to chat with you and them! If you need a supply list or advice for helping them find a creative outlet, don't hesitate! I would be glad to help!
